Who we are
Alerted (property conditions, watched around the clock) is the product at app.alerted.au and the Alerted iOS app. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
Only what the product needs to run your account and alarms. We do not sell personal information. We do not use tracking SDKs, advertising identifiers, or analytics pixels in the iOS app.
- Email address and name, to sign you in and address the account.
- A user id we assign, to keep your properties on your tenant.
- Property addresses and names you enter, and sensor readings from the Home Assistant instance you connect.
- An Apple Push Notification device token, so alarms can reach the lock screen.
Why we collect it
App functionality only: authentication, the live dashboard, last-known conditions when the phone is offline, and native alerts when a sensor goes off-range or silent.
On the iPhone
The iOS app stores a last-known snapshot of your properties on the device so the branded offline screen still works without a network. The Apple device token is sent to our API over HTTPS and used only to deliver Alerted alarms via APNs. Notification permission is optional; you can revoke it in iOS Settings.
Sharing
We send push payloads to Apple so the notification can appear on your device. We do not share your account with advertisers. Home Assistant stays your backend; Alerted stores the connection you configure so we can poll sensor states.
Keeping it
We keep account and property records while the account is active. You can ask us to delete the account by emailing [email protected]. Device tokens are dropped when subscribe fails permanently or you remove the app.
Your rights
If you are in Australia, you can request access or correction of personal information we hold, and complain to us at [email protected]. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
